Submitted my idea to ThinkGeek.com

Well today I submitted an idea to +ThinkGeek  to see if they would sell my product idea on their site. So in the next 60 days 'their timeline not mine' I should know if my idea is good enough to be sold on +ThinkGeek . Wish me luck everyone.

According to their site the submission process could take up to 60 days for them to respond. To be honest I' m hoping I get some contact before that point. I don't want to give away what the idea is completely but I can share with you the logo I created for it. ~WINK~ ~WINK~

Please don't forget to vote on the poll there is only 35 days left to vote.

Until next time,

Submitting my idea to ThinkGeek.com

Hey everyone,

Today I looked into getting my zombie merch sold on +ThinkGeek I have read over all of their guidelines which can be read by following this {LINK}. The guidelines are fairly straightforward and simple enough. The only thing is right now I plan to make each one of my designs into stickers through +RedBubble.

The problem I' am seeing is do I continue to try and keep control of my designs and how they are sold and marketed or should I close down the +RedBubble store and pursue having my ideas sold on +ThinkGeek. The downside to +ThinkGeek is that you get a base pay for them accepting the idea and then royalties there after for the life of the product. I know this may seem fairly straight forward to some but as an artist I' m very careful when it comes to sending my art to a larger company as they could not copy my work but use it for concept.

Now let me say that my girlfriend, myself and her entire family buy from +ThinkGeek all of the time so I can say with strong confidence that they would likely never do that. But someone may you can never be completely sure here. A huge plus to having my ideas being sold on +ThinkGeek  is the fact of how many people my design will reach. Also let's face it were else do you go to find awesome zombie, bacon, or +Dr Who  merch. What I would like to know from all of you is this. Should I continue to run my +RedBubble store? or Should I submit my ideas to +ThinkGeek and see if my designs are goo enough to be sold on their kick ass site.

The poll will be added to the right side of the Blog so please vote and let me know what you think I should do.Also here are the two current design I have added to  my +RedBubble store.

The newest sticker can be purchased Directly from my Redbubble Store.

Cheers,

Joshua

Zombies ZoMbIeS zOmBiEs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I know it has been quite a while sense I have updated anything. With that said I apologize and I'am happy to say it is for good reason. I have really been focusing getting work and being gainfully employed. Tomorrow I have an interview with a company I used to work for last year, the difference this time is I will be working directly for the company as last time it was more third party work. So wish me luck.

On to the art that you all love so much.... I bought a small sketch book a few weeks back and I have been really getting into these little zombie characters I have been drawing. Let me know what you all think.

Each one of these sketches are going to be run through +Adobe Illustrator and turned into stickers and you'll be able to purchase them here online.

Cheers,

Joshua
